Saturday, April 29–Sunday, May 7, 2017
Asian Art Museum
(Monday, May 1, 2017 the museum will be open for school groups only).
The San Francisco Unified School District proudly presents the SFUSD Arts Festival; a celebration of student creativity in visual, literary, media, and performing arts hosted by the Asian Art Museum in the Civic Center from April 29 to May 7, 2017. (The museum will be open on Monday, May 1 for school groups only.) For the past 30 years this unique San Francisco event has been a point of destination for families, teachers, artists, and community members from San Francisco and beyond. The promise of equity and access in arts education for all students preK-12 during the curricular day, made real by the SFUSD’s groundbreaking Arts Education Master Plan, finds its point of destination in this festival, where all who attend may see for themselves the inspiration and creativity inherent in all of our youngest San Franciscans!
Festival admission is free and includes access to the special exhibition Tomb Treasures: New Discoveries from China’s Han Dynasty and the museum's collection galleries.
